To identify and exhibit the management and administrative skills necessary for athletic programs

 Artifact 1: Governing Body Critique

This artifact was completed in HHPS 520, Governance and Ethics during Summer I session in 2017.

This artifact meets competency by evaluating proper consequential techniques that were failed to be utilized in other athletic programs. A major part of every athletic administrative program is how they administer discipline to athletes. If an student-athlete does anything that violates the student code of conduct, critics, annalist,  and other reporters wile monitor and critique every move made by the administration. Having the ability to utilize proper administrative skills necessary to implement punishment is a key role in management. This research writing will assist in keeping proper accordance to Title IX and conduct policies established by the school board.

This artifact was completed in HHPS 525, Marketing and Public Relations in Sport during Spring session in 2018.

This artifact meets competency because understanding that management of a program and with the advances of social media it is now becoming a skill. Sending improper tweets, messages, post of any kind that can be detrimental to a athletic program, whether that tweet is sent from administrative staff, coaching staff, or a student athlete.  Having the proper managerial skills to understand how social media can affect a athletic program is now necessary. Implementing staff members solely in charge of managing social media is becoming more common. This artifact reviews journal articles that properly immolate marketing with social media, managing social media, the pros and cons of utilizing social media, and how social media can advance a athletic program. Exhibiting skills with social media can assist in strategically placing my athletic program in position to grow and improve its fan base.
